Building Relationships that Count.

“My goal is to provide clients with the same exceptional level of service that I would expect. I pride myself on going above and beyond my clients’ expectations.
I strive to always add value.”

Steve joined the Melton & Melton team in 2006 and currently serves as a partner. As a key member of the firm’s Audit Department, he performs audit, review, and compilation engagements for clients in a wide variety of industries. Steve began his career in the construction industry—from working out in the field up to the accounting and management teams. As a result, his particular specialty lies in working with blue-collar companies and industries, including construction, manufacturing, oilfield services, and auto dealerships.

A hardworking professional, Steve is a valuable asset to his firm and his teammates. His attitude is well summed-up by his favorite quote: “Tough times never last, but tough people do.” When asked what inspired him to go into accounting, Steve simply explained that he truly just enjoys accounting. He attributes his career success to this enjoyment—Steve likes what he does, the team with which he works, and, most importantly, the clients whom he serves.

Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Steve moved to the Houston area in 2006. He currently resides in Porter with his three children and their dog. He enjoys living in Porter because it is close enough to Houston to still be able to enjoy everything that the city has to offer, but far enough away to allow easy access to nature and the outdoors.
