Building Relationships that Count.

“In this profession, willingness to collaborate with others will get you far. Be it ideas, information or inspiration—sharing with your colleagues and clients will invariably lead to greater success for all involved.”

Bob Erwin joined Melton & Melton in 1973. His previous accounting experience includes two years at Arthur Andersen and five years with Tenneco. Bob served in the U.S. Army as a Captain, serving a three-year tour. Bob’s responsibilities include tax planning and IRS representation; he generally works with clients in the oil and gas, real estate, high net worth, and construction industries.

Bob describes himself as laid back and attributes his success to a combination of hard work and determination. He was inspired to enter the accounting field when an aptitude test evaluated it as a good fit for him. Some of Bob’s biggest accomplishments include managing the set-up of a company, facilitating a merger, and representing clients in dealings with the IRS.

Bob grew up in Natchez, Mississippi but currently resides with his wife in Houston, which he likes for its cleanliness. His hobbies include playing golf and bridge.
