Federal tax filing deadline extended to July 15

Update

On Friday, March 20, 2020, Secretary of the Treasury Steve Mnuchin released a statement that the federal tax filing deadline has been moved in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The new deadline of July 15, 2020 corresponds with the tax payment deadline previously rescheduled earlier in the week. This will provide all taxpayers, businesses and their tax preparers much needed additional time in order to prepare and file tax returns. We expect a formal IRS notice to be forthcoming in the next few days and will update you on additional details as they emerge.
